About the tour
Quite casually on the way through the Rheingau lies Hattenheim, in earlier times called the “home of Hatto”, with a well-preserved former tower castle. The pretty half-timbered village gained fame at the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 – Hattenheim wine was served there!
Our two-hour e-bike tour leads directly from the centre of the village to its famous old vineyard sites of Hattenheimer Mannberg, Wisselbrunnen, Nussbrunnen, Hassel, Pfaffenberg, Schützenhaus and Steinberger. With ease, our comfortable e-bikes take you through the imposingly expansive vineyards to one of the Rheingau’s oldest and most famous sights. Along the way, you will come across one or two magnificent wayside crosses, an important orientation point for the winegrowers back then.
Once you reach the top, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view over the Rheingau, the Rhine and the island of a princess, the Mariannenaue.
Back in the tranquil half-timbered village, we stop at the Kaufmann winery at the wine tasting stand to finish. There, the Vesper and wine tasting can be enjoyed especially well after the excursion in the fresh air and the wide view.
