The Kühkopf nature reserve on the Rhine is one of the few that maintains the naturalness of the former Rhine floodplains and riparian forests over a large area. In the nature reserve and bird sanctuary you share the water areas with many water birds that rest or overwinter here in the cold season and build their nests and breed on the shore in spring.
